At the department of Food Biotechnology and Process Engineering, you are working on the development of innovative processes for food processing and preservation. An innovative process (gas hydrate technology) for the concentration of fruit juices is to be investigated. The task includes process engineering/technological implementation of gas hydrate technology and process optimization including metrological, analytical and fluid mechanic-numerical investigations. The research project comprises various research areas such as food biotechnology, multiscale product-/process analysis and design as well as biothermofluid dynamics. The preparation of a PhD thesis or postdoctoral lecture qualification thesis is possible.
The focus of the first position is located in the fields of Computational Engineering, Numerical Fluid Mechanics, Physical Engineering Sciences or Applied Informatics.
The focus of the second position is in the field of Food Technology, Chemical and Bioengineering, Life Science Engineering, Biotechnology, Food Chemistry, Process Engineering or a related discipline.
Both employees are expected to show a high level of cooperation as well as the ability to work independently and interdisciplinary at the interface between food technology, process engineering, flow mechanics and numerics.
